Art in all his forms and shapes has interested her since her childhood, that is why she chose to go to the Art-school. Still passionate about it and still like to learn new things and ways so that she can enrich her personal work.
Calligraphy : She took lessons from Frans De Smedt, An Vanhentenrijk, Bernadette d'Haese, Liesbeth Boudens, Katrien Coene, ... And followed the module-system of Whitespace. For information visit: www.witruimte.org with teachers Yves Leterme and Brody Neuenschwander She got the chance to follow workshops from Peter Thornton (U.K.), Carl Rohrs (U.S.A.), Denise Lach (France), Timothy Noad (U.K.) and Wilbert Wegman (The Netherlands). Now she occasionally follows lessons from Lieve Cornil who, by also being a left-handed calligrapher, gave her a strong feeling of knowledge and because of her rich experience and graphical background she shows her how unbelievably rich and neverending the world of personal calligraphy can be.
Ceramics : For some years she’s making Ceramics, following classes at Johan de Waeye in her own town and is amazed by the nerverending possibilities that this medium has. She combinates letters and letterforms. But she keeps on searching different and original ways to combine different styles and media and make new creations, using glass, paper, ceramics, bark, wood and other materials.
